Gingerbread Latte Cupcakes with Recipe Link

Ta ta Thanksgiving, HELLO CHRISTMAS! Now that Thanksgiving and Black Friday have come and gone I think now we can officially start gearing up for Christmas!

In honor of this season's most anticipated holiday I present to you a special Christmas themed treat...Gingerbread Latte Cupcakes with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting!

These ridiculously cute and delicious looking treats are brought to you by Bakers Royale! The recipe actually came about because of a disappointing Starbucks drink order, goes to show that the best inspiration really can come from anywhere!

I was a little taken aback by the idea of mixed lemon cream cheese with something as spicy as gingerbread but after reading why this was used, I have to say I'm more than curious to try out the recipe for myself. If you want to try this out as well, go ahead and check out the recipe here!

Pilgrim Cupcakes: Deconstructed

Hey there little pilgrim, how adorable are you?! There isn't an official tutorial on how to re-create these ridiculously cute cupcakes that I found so I'm going to attempt to de-construct them.

The cupcake looks like your standard vanilla or white...box cake mix perhaps? There's a blob of some sort of lighter colored frosting as the head and a face piped with black piping gel. The hat looks like the brim/foundation is an upside down striped cookie (like those keebler ones). The top hat part is what I believe is a chocolate covered jumbo marshmallow. The hat is also decorated with piping gel. The dark cupcake liner is a good idea to stick with, makes the pilgrim look even more authentic!

I hope this has helped you so you can create your own Thanksgiving Pilgrims!

Nutella Cupcakes with Triple Cream Cheese Frosting

Just the sight of the name of these cupcakes made my mouth water. That's an indication of one amazing recipe...wouldn't you agree? These Nutella cupcakes are topped with a triple cream cheese frosting. What's so triple about it you ask? Well, there's actually three separate cream cheese frostings. Chya. It's so serious. The frostings are: Nutella Cream Cheese, Almond Butter Cream Cheese and Vanilla Cream Cheese. Katie Goodman of Goodlife Eats is a cupcake genius for creating these. Check out the recipe here!

Banana Cream Pie Cupcakes with Recipe Link

Oh my. This cupcake looks all kinds of a-mah-zing. Banana Cream Pie...cupcakes? Seems like a bit of a misnomer but if these cupcakes taste even half as good as they look then I'm sure my taste buds can excuse the confusion.

This recipe was adapted from several sources and refined to create quite an irresistible cupcake. Kudos to Joylicious.net for coming up with such a fun cupcake idea! Check out her site and recipe here!

Chai Cream Cupcakes with Recipe Link

Yesterday, on my way to work, I drove through Starbucks for a well-deserved Chai Tea Latte (I had received a job offer the day before and decided to treat myself!) when I received my drink I was pleasantly surprised to be handed the coveted red holiday Starbucks cup...which everyone knows officially marks the holiday season!

These Chai Cream Cupcakes also remind me of this special time of the year! I think it's the cinnamon. These cupcakes were created by Baking Confessions. You can find step by step directions to create this spiced goods for yourself here!

Stout Cupcakes with Chocolate Covered Pretzels with Recipe Link

Somehow I managed to stumble upon another beer cupcake recipe. I'm still trying to get myself to indulge in such a sinful vice but have yet to bake up any alcohol based treats for myself. However, these beer-infused cupcakes created by Jamie of My Baking Addiction look too delicious not to at least try! I was particularly intrigued by these espresso stout based cupcakes because of the chocolate/coffee flavor mingling of it all. The kicker is the dark chocolate covered pretzels atop these little bad boys, because in her words, "what goes better with beer than pretzels?!" She created an easy to follow guide on her site so you can create these dude pleasing cupcakes for yourself!

Skeleton Cupcakes: A Deconstruction

Found on weheartit.com
Hey Mr. Bones! Lookin' spooky! Unfortunately, there isn't a recipe attached to these Halloween cupcakes so I decided to try to figure out how to make them based on the picture. Personally, it looks like the hat is made of an upside down mini cupcake and some sort of chocolate wafer or candy. The eyes look like m&ms, black licorice pieces for the nose, maybe piping for the teeth? I think those could be substituted with tic-tacs. The skull is a little more tricky, from this angle it looks like it's made out of a blob of frosting...which would make sense since there isn't a definitive frosted top on these cupcakes. Hope this helped for those of you who might want to try these out!

Blue Moon Cupcakes with Recipe Link

Lately I've been seeing more and more alcohol based cupcakes. Now I haven't had one myself but I occasionally like to partake in spirits and I do love cupcakes, so I see no reason why these two worlds shouldn't be combined to create some epic treats...and the site, Miss Make, figured out a way to do just that. The recipe looks pretty easy to follow, you can check it out here!
