Cupcake decorating improvisation: candy necklaces for turkey feathers
One of my favorite things about cupcakes is that you can literally use anything to decorate them, and this post at Hoosier Homemade involves decorating improvisation in the form of candy necklaces! So fun, and a great way to use leftover Halloween candy (if any should exist in your house). True confession: sometimes my favorite part of a post like this is the ingredient list!

Butterfinger Blizzard candy cupcakes and recipe link!
Mother and daughter blog duo Double the Deliciousness has baked up these delicious-looking Butterfinger Blizzard cupcakes, and they've got the recipe! I love this part of the instructions:
Now for he Butterfinger Buttercream!! You need to unwrap the butterfingers and shave the chocolate off the outside of each bar. It's a little tricky, but if you've got some helpers (Kyla!) this is something they seem to think is fun!! Take the orange middles and crush in a bowl or in a plastic bag. Sift as much of the candy as possible. You want to get about 1/2 cup of orange Butterfinger powder.

Andes mint chocolate cupcakes and recipe link
Audra of the blog The Kurtz Corner made these Andes mint cupcakes and I'm right there with her in my love of Andes mints! Click through to her blog for the recipe! She writes:
Mmmm...Don't you just love those mints from Olive Garden, you know, the chocolate and mint ones? Love Andes Mints! And judging by several of my previous posts you should know I love cupcakes! So I thought to myself, why not combine the two?! Yes! Low and behold others have had the same idea. Lizzy from Your Cup of Cake perfected this cupcake recipe and inspired me to make my own, minus the from scratch part!

Caramel-covered Snickers cupcakes by Annie's Eats plus recipe link
Wow...Snickers is right up there in my top 3 favorite candy bars, so these look extra delicious. Get the recipe at Annie's Eats, who you can also keep up with on Facebook. Via Endless Simmer. From the post:
The final version consists of a chocolate cupcake, filled with a caramel-Snickers mixture, topped with caramel buttercream and garnished with additional Snickers and caramel sauce. Rich as can be, and full of Snickers flavor, these are a decadent treat to say the least.

Vermont bakery My Little Cupcake opens in Burllington today
My Little Cupcake, which has a bakery in Essex Junction, Vermont, as of today also has a Burlington location (at the corner of College and South Winooski streets). Photos and descriptions via their Facebook page. Visit mylittlecupcakevt.com for more information.

Fruity Pebbles cupcake: vanilla & fruity pebbles cupcake, vanilla buttercream and dipped in fruity pebbles (from me: what if they used the Fruity Pebbles Cupcake flavor??)
From Burlington Free Press:
The store is spacious, with exposed brick and tin ceilings contrasting with bright, pink chairs. A mural by a local artist will be painted in the coming week, Trudell said.
Lacayo recalled visiting her brother, who lives in New York City, and seeing all of the cupcake shops there.
“I’ve lived in Vermont for eight years, thinking that a cupcake shop would open in Burlington but one never did,” she said. “That’s how I knew now was the right time to do this.”
My Little Cupcake specializes in mini cupcakes, which Trudell said take three bites to eat, but will also serve regular-sized treats.
“Every day we’re trying to have 24 kinds of cupcakes, including a vegan and gluten-free option,” Trudell said.
The store will also sell coffee from Black River Roasters, a Burlington-based company.

This pumpkin chocolate cheesecake is absolutely delicious! It's a chocolate cupcake with pumpkin pie filling, cream cheese buttercream, and fun halloween sprinkles.

Rockin' Rolo cupcake: chocolate cupcake with a rolo candy inside, vanilla buttercream, and a swirly chocolate drizzle.

Peanut butter honey cupcake: a peanut butter cupcake, filled with peanut butter, honey buttercream and drizzle, and salted peanuts.

cranberry almond streusel! It's a vanilla & cranberry cupcake with vanilla buttercream, homemade streusel with chopped oats, almonds, and cranberries.
