Cute and glittery Halloween ghost and spider cupcakes

Boo! Just kidding...who could be scared of such sparkly ghosts and spiders? They're by custom cupcake maker and blogger Amanda Cupcake of Waupaca, Wisconsin! You can also find her on Facebook.

Marshmallow Monster Cupcakes

How cute are these!? I love the idea of decorating a jumbo marshmallow and making it stick out of the top of the cupcake. So creative!

These Frankenstein, ghost, and pumpkin cupcakes were made by Julie Yoon. She decorated the marshmallows with frosting, toasted almonds, chocolate chips, and different colored fruit roll-ups. Then she scooped out the tops of the cupcakes and inserted the finished marshmallows.

To see a step-by-step how-to, check out Julie's website here!

Purple Potato Cupcakes=witchcraft

Halloween is fast approaching-- and today is National Potato Day. What is the connection?
witchcraft!!!

Purple Potato Cupcakes

I looooove purple. When I saw these, my jaw dropped and I had to know the scoop!!

Hannah Kaminsky, of Bitter Sweet notes:

"Blue cupcakes. Bright purple frosting. No food coloring, naturally, so even I could hardly believe what I had baked. Truly, what sort of malicious curse would turn innocent confections into visions of the dark arts?"

Pretty freaky, huh?

I saw these Halloween cupcakes on Flickr and thought they were too cute not to share! These amazingly crafted cupcakes were created by Charlotte, North Carolina's It's My Treat by Janice. The detail that went into all the toppers are incredible! Personally, my favorite has to be the ghosts. 5 cute Halloween bat cupcakes, plus bat cupcake wrappers

So that bats get their own special due, and because these are extra cute Halloween bat cupcakes...I was very scared of bats when I was little, even though I'm pretty sure I've never seen an actual bat, so I love when cupcakes take something I'd find scary in real life and turn it into something adorable.
