Realistic and creepy black widow spider web Halloween chocolate rum cupcakes

These spider web Halloween cupcakes are by blogger 6 Bittersweets, who has the recipe for the decorations and the chocolate rum cupcakes (with instructions on how to make them without alcohol too). From the post:

... I really wanted to make my version more realistic and creepy than those I'd come across ^_^. Since it's notoriously difficult to color homemade fondant a true black and I happened to have some black modeling chocolate on hand, I turned to this medium to make my crawly friends more dimensional and thus, my spidery vision start coming to life. Then melted chocolate, red candy melts, and a good blast of cold freezer air did the rest!

Eyeball and spider web Halloween cupcake toppers plus cupcakes in jars on Etsy

Halloween cupcake mania continues with these eyeball and spider web cupcake toppers, for sale by Etsy seller cakesandmorewi.

From the eyeball cupcake topper listing:

These fondant cupcake toppers measure 2 1/2" and will fit perfectly on top of your cupcake. These also fit nicely on the top or sides of a 4" high cake. Each cupcake topper is made individually, so minor differences in shape or color may occur. Your fondant toppers will stay fresh for up to 6 months if stored in dark, cool, dry location.

They also sell cupcakes in a jar, in vanilla, chocolate and multi-colored, $7 each for vanilla and chocolate or multi-colored six-pack for $36. From the vanilla cupcake listing:

Classic French Vanilla Cupcakes layered with our whipped buttercream icing!

This listing is for one yummy cupcake in a jar. Each Cupcake in a Jar comes with two cupcakes and loads of hand-made icing.

After the cupcakes are baked, they are taken out of their liner. One is placed at the bottom of the jar, followed by a layer of Butterream Icing. Then the layers are repeated a second time for a double-layered cupcake effect.
