Blast From The Cupcakes Take The Cake Past

Although our blog is nearly seven years old, we didn't start having anniversary parties until 2007.  Our first anniversary party was at the Beauty Bar on 14th Street. Amanda Recupido (formerly of MediaBistro) covered the party. We had a raffle and lot cupcakes.  Come to this year's party on December 5th.

We have the "seven year itch" for cupcakes as Cupcakes Take The Cake is celebrating seven years of blogging! Our anniversary party with be Monday, December 5th at the Soho Gallery Of Digital Arts (138 Sullivan Street). We will have cupcakes, cake pops, drinks and a big raffle! Open to all ages. If you want to sponsor us with cupcakes, raffle prizes and beverages, then please contact nichelle@gmail.com.

We will need about four volunteers as well, so contact me to volunteer to help with setting out cupcakes, giving out raffle tickets, and event check-in.

Welcome Our New Blog Interns

We continue to be amazed by how much news about cupcakes there is, and we want to bring more to our readers. We have three new interns who will be blogging with us staring this week.
Elizabeth Branch is a junior at the University of Alabama studying English and creative writing. She had always liked baking, but she discovered her love for it my sophomore year in my dorm room. She started a baking blog, about being an amateur baker in college and has continued it while living in a tiny off campus apartment.Ashley Khawsy is a recent college graduate trying to find her footing in the real world. When she's not working you can usually find her baking up sweet treats or sampling LA's food truck scene. After years of being a self-proclaimed foodie, she finally started a blog chronicling her foodie life, Chronicles Of A Foodie.Lena Patterson is a teacher-turned-baker from Buffalo, New York. She love baking and creating treats--but she loves eating them more! She loves baking and creating treats, and created a blog about her own baked yummies: www.frostedbakery.wordpress.com. She's new to the Big Apple and can't wait to sink my teeth into everything delicious this city has to offer!
